The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy on Whitney Heichel, 21, on Saturday and confirmed she died from multiple gunshot wounds and her death is ruled a homicide.
No other information is being released regarding the autopsy pending the ongoing investigation.
As reported, the investigation continues in the disappearance and murder of Whitney Heichle, and the subsequent arrest of Jonathan D. Holt for her murder.
Holt is expected to be arraigned for aggravated murder in Clackamas County on Monday. The venue was changed to the county of the murder.
According to a Gresham spokesperson statement, there is no evidence that has surfaced in the investigation leading investigators to believe there wasn’t anything more between Heichel and Holt other than they were acquaintances.
“We have been advised by the District Attorney to not release or discuss many of the details that are understandably piquing the public’s interest in this tragedy,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
